Job Location: Rancho Cucamonga

Position Tittle: Production Designer - 6 Months Contract

Rate of Pay: $25-$35 DOE

Shift: 1st shift - 8am-5:00pm / M-F

Job Summary:

The Production Designer is primarily a technical position in which the ideal candidate will possess basic design capabilities and produce print-ready files. We are looking for applicants familiar with file naming conventions, folder organization, pre-production process and meticulous attention to detail.

Required Production Skills/Abilities:

· Prior experience in the printing industry required.

· Two or more years in proofing, pre-flighting, preparing, and press checking files is preferred.

· Knowledge of vector-based vs. raster-based design, RGB vs CMYK, type/fonts.

· Expert technical knowledge to build and keep uniformity among all print-ready files.

· Specialized knowledge of printing processes including, but not limited to, separations for traditional 4-color process, spot color, bleed, and die-lines.

· Knowledge of substrates and finishes a plus.

· Extremely familiar with Adobe Creative Cloud.

· Proficient with current version of MacOS.

· Familiar with Microsoft 365.

· Ability to work independently or as a team on an assignment.

Design Capabilities/Responsibilities:

· Expert proficiency with design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

· Understand and verify the accuracy of copy, regulated package elements, and basic compliance requirements.

· Implement revisions to match a Designer, Creative Manager, or Director’s request.

· Prepare drafts of design work, physical mockups if necessary, and present designs to management and stakeholders for approval.

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
