This role is 100% remote. The Power Platform Developer will be responsible for communicating a well-defined vision of how IT and the business will align. They will ensure that everyone follows the same principles, methodologies, and support activities as directed by agency management. The developer will ensure that new systems are built in a way that meets functional requirements and ensures service qualities such as performance, scalability, extensibility, maintainability, security, and interoperability.

Responsibilities:

  • Create custom business applications, automate workflows, integrate data sources, and build analytics dashboards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Streamline business processes and improve productivity.
  • Design and develop core technology and architecture for Power Platform applications and solutions.
  • Develop custom business applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model Driven) and Power Portals.
  • Automate workflows and processes using Power Automate.
  • Build custom connectors to integrate data sources with the Power Platform.
  • Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Develop and deploy chatbots using Power Virtual Agents.
  • Develop intelligent document processing with AI Builder.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Ensure the security and compliance of Power Platform solutions.
  • Collaborate with other developers and IT professionals to integrate Power Platform solutions with other enterprise systems.
  • Develop custom APIs and plugins to extend the functionality of Power Platform tools.
  • Conduct training and workshops to educate end-users on the use of Power Platform solutions.
  • Demonstrate ability to deliver business and technical value.
  • Work with the Development Manager to establish goals and release quality while meeting project requirements.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members.
  • Assure the complementary synthesis of all standards, models, designs, and methodologies recommended by the Enterprise Architects.
  • Take proactive escalation of system problems or design flaws to upper management before serious impact on ROI.
  • Coordinate with other architects on issues dealing with the quality flaws of existing standards, especially security and performance issues.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience with building Power Portals and recent Power Pages, including Liquid.
  • 3+ years of experience with building Power Apps (Model Driven Apps, Canvas Apps).
  • 3+ years of experience with building Power Automate Flows.
  • 5+ years of experience with web application development including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 5+ years of experience with C# development including Power Platform Plugins.
  • 5+ years of experience with development in Visual Studio.
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile Methodologies.
  • Involved in a minimum of two large-scale Agile software development projects.
  • Thorough understanding of development best practices in an Agile environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have very good verbal and written communication skills.

Desired (Highly Preferred):

  • Experience with code control/version/build tools (e.g., Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with AI Builder, Power Virtual Agents, and Power BI.
  • Experience with Azure Blob and Azure Cognitive Services.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., NUnit).
  • Experience with XRM Toolkit.
  • Experience with integrating REST/SOAP APIs and using Postman.
  • Experience with ASP.NET.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., jQuery, Ext, React).
  • Education: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technology.
