Company: PEOPLE Team: Music Team Job Description: The freelance digital writer will work alongside the senior news editor and writer-reporter of the music team at PEOPLE website. Job Hours: 9:30 a.m./10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m./6 p.m. EST, Monday to Friday. Job Requirements: The ideal candidate should:
- Motivated
- Have 1-3 years of experience writing news stories
- Be comfortable working at an accelerated pace
- Have a passion for the entertainment space
- Experience covering breaking news (preferred)
- Fluency in SEO
- Job Responsibilities: Writing 6-8 digital stories a day
- Pitching ideas for music-related content
- Assisting with music award shows throughout the year
- Providing accurate and clean copy
