Temporary/Freelance 3D Character Animator (Remote)

Primal Screen is seeking Remote Temporary/Freelance 3D character animator(s) with 2+ years professional experience for project work from May-June through July-Sept 2023 (timeframe TBD based on multi-project award). These animators will be bringing characters to life, creating entertaining and emotionally driven performances and infusing… characters with believable personalities. This is a project-based remote opportunity.

Note well: All applicants must be based in the US and legally eligible to work in the US. Priority for hire will be given to Georgia-based candidates.

Basic Qualifications

• Professional animation production experience
• Understanding of the entire animation process
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, weight, locomotion, appeal
• Thorough understanding of animation acting
• Strong communication, documentation, and team-relationship skills
• Ability to solve problems both independently and in team environments

• Provide demo reel breakdown or a detailed breakdown/contribution write-up
• Your demo reel and breakdown should include both character and camera layout/animation to be considered
