Freelance Audio Technician

Job Description: We are seeking junior assistant, senior, and lead audio technicians in Orlando, Florida with live events & staging experience to set-up, operate and strike Simultaneous Interpretation Systems during events at hotels, conference centers, corporate offices, and museums.

• Requirements: Experienced in wireless systems
• Able to identify sources of noise
• Experienced in troubleshooting
• Maintains a professional and polished image under all circumstances
• Able to work with clients and effectively communicate
• Valid driver’s license and/or own vehicle (preferred)
• Able to lift 50+ lbs
• Responsibilities: Setting up isolation booths and wireless interpretation equipment in the VHF band or using digital IR for 20-200 attendees who will be in the same (small) room
• Monitoring the wireless audio during events
• Interfacing with clients and maintaining a professional demeanor
• Working independently and taking charge (for lead and senior techs)

Dress Code: Depending on the job, dress code is business (black suit and tie) or show black.

Payment: For assistant work, hourly pay is offered. For senior and lead techs, preference goes to A1/A2’s with solid experience in RF and a very client-friendly and professional demeanor. Pay will be determined based on level of experience.
