Sound Lighting and Video Audio Technician

Welcome to the role of Sound Lighting and Video Audio Technician! We are looking for a motivated, organized, and experienced professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining sound, lighting, and video systems for events and productions. You will be tasked with setting up and operating audio and video equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues, and ensuring proper sound and lighting levels. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all audio and video equipment is in proper working order for events and productions. Job Responsibilities

  • Setup and operate audio equipment - including mixing consoles, PA systems and wireless
  • Adjust sound levels and EQ’s during live events
  • Maintain and troubleshoot audio equipment
  • Coordinate with production team to ensure audio quality
  • Troubleshoot and repair audio equipment, including cable repair
  • Maintain inventory of audio equipment
  • Assist other technicians in the use of audio equipment
  • Follow safety protocols when operating audio equipment
  • Follow production schedule and ensure audio equipment is ready for use
  • Work collaboratively with production team to ensure successful events

Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience in audio engineering
  • Strong knowledge of audio engineering principles and practices
  • Proficiency with Avid, DiGiCo, Yamaha and Allen & Heath audio consoles
  • Proficiency with d&b, L-Acoustics, JBL and other speaker systems
  • Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs), such as Pro Tools
  • Proficiency with SMAART, DANTE, LAKE and other industry software applications
  • Expertise in sound mixing, equalization, and signal processing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and independent judgment
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift and move equipment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
