Summary Description
Capital View Baptist Church is a ninety-five-year-old African American church undergoing a “virtual” launching (church building was sold) as we reboot with a brick-and- mortar relaunching planned for the next two to three years.
- Sunday Worship Service (Sunday mornings)
- Bible Study (Tuesday evenings)
- Christian Endeavor (Thursday evenings)
- Recording Backups (Fridays non-evenings)
The primary duties of the Live Streaming/Motion Graphics Tech are to film and edit events, creating attractive, empowering, and persuasive productions, updated where needed, that will present the brand of the Church and Pastor. Streaming services are to be posted two (2) to six (6) hours after shooting.
Duties & Responsibilities
As a member of the Church’s Social Media & Marketing Team, the duties and responsibilities of the Live Streaming/Motion Graphics Technician are as follows, but not limited to:
- Determines production vision. Reviews raw material to determine the short list. Manipulates film and video footage using modern editing techniques. Maintains continuity while moving shots according to scene value. Trims footage and puts together the rough project. Inserts dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects. Ensures the project follows a logical sequence. Creates the final cut for broadcasting.
- Candidate must be experienced in motion graphics using Adobe After Effects and have a strong graphic design background with knowledge of illustration, typography, color, and branding design. This position also requires basic knowledge of videography, lighting, audio, and video editing.
- Streams the regularly scheduled worship services (Sunday morning, Tuesday, and Thursday nights), workshops, seminars, events, etc.
- Monitors industry trends and scheduling meetings to share current information with the Church.
- Set daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly targets, and implement various incentives to ensure they are achieved. Closely monitors competitors’ successes and failures and learns from them.
- Participates in the production of marketing events and launches, while using these spaces to network with industry professionals.
- Reviews written technical documents for clarity, grammar, spelling, punctuation, content, and style. Makes any necessary corrections to technical documents.
Education/Skill Set-Training/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Social Media, or related field required.
- At least 3 years of experience with Streaming, Post-Streaming Editing/Videography, and Film/Podcast/YouTube required.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience communicating with internal and external audiences and members of the media.
- Ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems and make recommendations.
- Motion Graphics Video Production Specialist must be proficient in using the Adobe Creative Suite, with extreme proficiency in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

SUN 10AM - 2PM 4HR

THU 5 PM – 9 PM 4HR
FRI 9 AM – 1 PM 4HR
SAT ------ OFF ------------
TOTAL not to exceed 30 hours per week
Pay: $17-22.00 per hour
