Overview

The Graphic Designer works closely with the Marketing Executive and is accountable for developing Marketing materials to help Invest Puerto Rico convey consistent brand identity. Knowledge of digital design is required. This temporary position requires a high level of attention to detail, creative thinking, problem-solving, and design knowledge.

Core Responsibilities

• Support the creation of designs, concepts, and sampling of layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetics design concepts consistently on target with brand objectives.
• Reviews creative briefs and works with project lead on developing design work.
• Support management of multiple design projects, which involves working closely with all members of the Marketing Team, cross-functional internal business partners, and close communication with suppliers/vendors to create promotional and advertising pieces.
• Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
• Execute the approved concepts to final print-ready files for the printer & digital media deliverables to spec.
• Develop PowerPoint presentations for industry events, conferences, and meetings.
• Ensure deadlines and deliverables are met and meet internal customer’s needs.
• Stay up to date on developments in the graphic design field to promote creativity and share with team members.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field
• 3+ years of print-focused design work experience, multi-page pieces & presentation design
• Design portfolio that represents a creative knowledge of print and digital
• Demonstrate an understanding of design and project management principles
• Ability to efficiently work on multiple projects at one time
• Ability to work under tight timelines with careful attention to detail.
• Proficient in the latest versions of applicable programs, especially Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Proficient in Windows Suite programs: PPT, Word & Excel.
• Knowledge in Word Press, HTML and video editing tools like Adobe Premiere are a plus.
• Experience communicating clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented professional office environment
• General knowledge understanding of pre-press steps
• General knowledge of stock footage and photography licensing process
• Ability to take constructive criticism and re-evaluate concepts with success
