SkyVengers Cartoon is a cartoon, entertainment and education company based out of Cincinnati, OH. SVC’s mission is to Entertain - Educate - Empower the next generation of cartoon and fine artists in the animation industry. Our Lakeland, FL office is looking for up to 3 entry level assistants, college interns and/or part-time student employees to join our team.

We are primarily seeking college seniors, grad students, recent college graduates, or people reentering the workforce/changing careers. The primary needs of this freelance entry level position are cartoon/art skills, social media expertise, game design experience and a passion for arts and STEAM education. Majors that fit well within our current company need are typically fine arts, theater, entertainment, hospitality, education, engineering, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a team environment. This is a 1099 contract to start with the possibility to grow. The ability to adapt to changing needs and priorities is also crucial in this dynamic role in our small growing company.

As a Junior Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work closely with clients, artists, teachers, instructors, and students, helping to create a positive work and learning environment. Your proficiency in Adobe software will be utilized to create engaging educational materials, while your knowledge of photography techniques will allow you to capture images for instructional purposes.

In addition to your technical skills, strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are essential for this role. You will assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records. Effective communication skills are also important as you collaborate with other education professionals and provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students.

Primary Duties:

• Assist with the planning and implementation of studio, original content, educational programs, gaming design, and business activities
• Assist with administrative tasks such as organizing files, scheduling appointments, and answering phone calls
• Provide curriculum support to teachers and instructors in the classroom setting for SkyVengers Cartoon Mobile Cartoon Lab work
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for teaching for SkyVengers education initiatives
• Assist with studio impact reporting, student tracking, and record keeping for SkyVengers and nonprofit initiatives
• Monitor studio traffic and maintain studio calendar and files on google drive for projects and studio business initiatives
• Collaborate with other education, filmmaking, gaming, cartooning and edutainment professionals to develop and implement effective strategies
• Eventually, provide one-on-one or small group instruction to students as needed for SkyVengers education initiatives

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google for Business for creating educational materials and studio original content
• Knowledge of photography techniques for capturing images
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Patience and empathy when working with clients, artists, and students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities
