Job Overview

We are looking for a part-time proficient Videographer to join our corporate marketing team. You will be responsible for filming raw footage on live locations as well as covering shoots on sets. Besides filming, you should be able to clip the footage together and edit it along with our Video Editor. You should be able to set up cameras, lighting, backdrops and any other props required for a shoot.

Apart from video setup and shooting, you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment in proper working order. Furthermore, maintaining the equipment inventory is also your responsibility. You should also be able to understand client briefs and provide an estimated budget.

If you can offer enhanced video production and bring a creative approach to filming, then we would love to meet you.

Some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and filming live events, short films, and ad shoots
  • Ensuring all filming equipment is ready and in proper working order
  • Undertaking minor editing of film footage in the case of smaller productions
  • Understanding project briefs, offering creative feedback and providing an estimated filming budget
  • Discussing ideas with the marketing team prior to filming
  • Ensuring filming in proper lighting and audio clarity with perfect lens choice
  • Providing creative direction when inserting captions, graphics, special effects, and video texts especially for advertising products
  • Contacting and negotiating with suppliers for equipment, products, and services
  • Troubleshooting minor technical issues with the video camera
  • Ensuring consistency in filming from start to finish
  • Cleaning and disassembling hardware such as tripod, lighting, and gimbal
  • Maintaining and updating equipment inventory

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in any subject
  • A certificate course in Videography or Cinematography is preferred
  • Proficiency in video editing software like Lumen5, Final Cut Pro, Nero Video, and Premier Pro
  • Familiarity with different cameras like digital cameras, professional-grade cameras, and digital camcorders
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of different motion picture techniques
  • Basic knowledge of production modes like doing a single camera setup and adjusting camera’s white balance
  • Ability to work in a team and in extreme weather conditions
  • Excellent analytical skills

Pay: $25 per hour
