About the Job:

Arizona Boardwalk is looking for a Graphic Designer to create engaging designs for the destination. This is a temporary position for up to 6 months to fill a gap due to maternity leave. The ideal candidate must be well-rounded in design skills, including print, digital, and exhibit design. This is a fast-paced, ever-changing, and evolving environment. The candidate will work collaboratively with the Marketing Team and Attraction Teams and will report to the Vice President of Marketing.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team and Attraction Teams on a broad range of projects to drive attendance and guest satisfaction at Arizona Boardwalk attractions.
  • Projects include the creation and production of advertisements (print, digital, and out-of-home), exhibit and operational signage, brochures, event design, website design, email campaigns, and more.
  • Manage multiple projects from conceptualization through completion, including design and managing print production.
  • Implement a high level of design standards, creating aesthetic solutions that are visually stunning and effective that enhance the guest experience throughout the destination.
  • Continue developing and maintaining brand/style guidelines for all the attractions.
  • This is not a remote position. Must be willing to work on-site in the office a minimum of 4 days per week.

Requirements:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 4 years (in-house or agency) of proven experience as a full-time professional graphic designer. Ideal candidates will provide a strong portfolio.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication, Design, or a related field from an accredited art school or university with significant course work in graphic design or equivalent experience required.
  • Strong understanding of production skills and processes with a solid knowledge of graphic design principles, various printing techniques, and broad working knowledge of designing for web and digital assets.
  • Fluent and efficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including but not limited to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and XD. Adobe Premiere and After Effects are a plus.
  • Candidate must possess strong Photoshop skills, with a concentration on image correction, clipping masks, and photo manipulation.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PPT, and Excel. Must be able to build presentations in PPT.
  • Knowledge of design principles, including layout, typography, color, balance, composition, and hierarchy, with an eagle eye for details.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects creatively, efficiently, and thoroughly in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Works collaboratively with other team members and brings a positive and passionate attitude.

We are looking to fill this position starting mid-Sept to allow for overlap before the current Graphic Designer goes on maternity leave.
