Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our customers in San Antonio, TX. Interested?

Here’s what you’d do:

  • This is a backfill and extension for BI Developer(Santosh Chengodi) existing position to meet changing business/project needs.
  • A User Interface frontend developers will assist our full-stack developers in implementing UI/UX-approved accessible/useable designs and products.
  • We are looking for a tech-savvy User Interface/experience (UI/UX) Developer/Programmer who can drive and advance our next-generation modern digital workplace technology UI/UX initiatives.
  • This person will be the lead resource for communicating and working with business & technology end users to create holistic solutions for some high-visibility ongoing projects.
  • As a Developer you’ll be responsible for creating Mobile/Web experiences and interfaces for clients.
  • Working with full-stack application development teams.
  • The developer needs to have a keen understanding of modern web technology stacks, especially front-end programming.
  • Research, design, develop, test, build, and coordinate the conversion or integration of UX designs into the JavaScript/Java codebase ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs standards.
  • Act as designer-developer, switching hats in both the areas of design & development, as Subject Matter Expert (SME) assisting with decision-making for some high visibility ongoing projects.
  • Create clean semantic HTML markup that passes WCAG & ADA/508 Accessibility standards & compliance.
  • Provide development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
  • Remain current on user interface framework trends and programming techniques and suggest or research new tools and methods as needed.
  • Design and maintain design files, wireframes, and mock-ups.
  • Design and develop UI and UX interfaces and assist with new user interface testing or participate in usability reviews.
  • Hands-on development on front-end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery).
  • Provide responsive websites apps development and support to the customer-facing design system including new components, defects, accessibility, and page templates.
  • Develop reusable and responsive, interactive patterns and code libraries that meet the highest W3 standards for HTML, Javascript, and CSS.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, senior developers, and architects for successful implementation and component requirements in an SDLC process.
  • Participate in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and creating strategies for the product UX.
  • Develop well-structured and maintainable code that follows the best practices and industry standards Work with team members to develop UI prototypes as necessary and validate ideas with a data-driven approach.
  • Design and develop UI and UX interfaces to meet standards and requirements.
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Remain current on user interface trends and programming techniques and suggest new tools and methods as necessary.

Here’s what you’ll get:

  • Pay: $42.42 /hrs.
  • Hours: 40 hrs/Week
  • Length: CONTRACT (6 MONTHS)

Required Skills / Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in front-end web application development with hands-on programming.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in creating conceptual and detailed design solutions based on end-user needs
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in communicating and working with business, and technology users to create holistic solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in using end to end Human-centered design-HCD techniques including design, research, and usability

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Knowledge of using technology Storyboarding tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and Envision
  • UI/UX design or web developer certifications & training
  • History of working with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience in the Electric and Gas Utility Industry
  • Exposure to front-end user frameworks (Vue.js, Angularjs, Reactjs, Jquery)
  • Familiarity with screen reader tools (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA)
  • Experience working within agile ceremonies and methodologies
