Experience

• At least five (5) years of experience as a technical writer.

Capabilities

• Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user’s manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
• Edits functional descriptions, system specifications, user’s manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents.

Information Mapping

• Operations guides of a technical and/or applications nature.
• User guides of a technical and/or applications nature.
• Process flow diagrams.

Configuration Management

• Ability to communicate well in writing and verbally.
• Have an understanding of information systems.
• Knowledge of FISMA, SOX and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management.
• Knowledge and experience of performing Business Process Improvements or Business Process Reengineering using information systems.

Knowledge of technical writing standards such as information mapping and experience with tools such as:

• Microsoft Office Products
• Adobe Acrobat
• SharePoint
• Visio
• Experience with documentation type or similar types
• Standard Operating Procedure Manual
• Operations Guide
• User Guides
• System Administration Guides
• Any other documents in support of existing TS systems
• (e.g., Workday, Coupa, ServiceNow ITSM)
• Any affiliated interfacing systems
• Any proposed changes affecting these documents will be reviewed by the TS Process Engineering Group (PEG) prior to COR’s review and ultimate approval. Upon approval the subject material will be incorporated into the Operations Guide.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Create or enhance the process flow diagrams depicting the flow of information to and from TS systems, users, or any other external interfacing systems.
• Create or update use cases describing proper procedures for interacting with TS systems.
• All documents will conform to FISMA and when possible, information mapping, requirements.

Salary:

$38.00 - $50.00 per hour
