Location: Dorchester, United Kingdom

Contract: Part Time, Freelance

Salary:

Guaranteed income, with additional bonus 3 times a year. APPROX £19,000pa

Are you a passionate musician with excellent leadership skills? Do you have a background in music, performance, or education? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our talented and dynamic team as a Rock Choir Leader. We are looking for a Musician to take over 2 existing choirs in Dorchester (Tuesday Morning/evening) and open a new Choir in Bridport - Flexibility to which day this runs (Mon/Wed/Thurs). You will need to be available during term time - Terms run in 10 week blocks, 3 times a year. If you are unable to do these times please contact us to discuss your availability or other opportunities. The Role

  • Deliver the contemporary Rock Choir resources and teaching formula to all choirs within your community.
  • Utilise your musical expertise, including piano and vocal skills, to provide high-quality musical instruction to choir members.
  • Inspire, lead, and support choir members, helping them build confidence and develop their musical abilities.
  • Create engaging and enjoyable choir sessions.
  • Organise performance opportunities for your choirs, this can be at local community events or bigger “stage” events.
  • Attend training and development events 3 times a year to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with new ideas and techniques.

Requirements, Skills and Experience

  • Must have a full GB Driving Licence
  • Provide your own PA system
  • Multi-talented musician with competent piano and vocal skills
  • Charismatic and energetic personality
  • There is no need to have led choirs before
  • Committed and self-motivated
  • Ability to create an exclusive teaching environment for all choir members
  • Willingness to teach, lead, conduct, plan, and handle administrative tasks for the choirs
  • Willingness to participate in events and performances outside of regular rehearsal times
  • Ability to work with a supportive and friendly team
