Description
This Design and Purchasing Assistant role is a great blend of project management and buying with some interior design on occasion also. From supporting the team with a wealth of projects, to sourcing new products for our hotels learning about how to negotiate, agree terms, manage deadlines and ultimately deliver great products!
This role is a key component in managing and creating our projects. Youll be a can do kind of person, with bags of energy, loving to get organised and take care of every last detail. Taking care of finding the perfect item or ensuring documents are up to date. Working with templates to help us explain and express our design ideas to the wider group.
Position Details
- Part time position offering 20 hours per week
- 6 hours to be worked on a Wednesday during office hours (9-5pm)
- 4 hours to be worked on Thursday (in office or remotely)
- The remaining hours to be worked flexibly across the week
- Hourly rate: ÂŁ11.00 per hour
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, who enjoys seeking out new products and is confident in picking up the phone to make things happen. We’ll be able to show you how to present a range options for approval, how best to approach new suppliers, how to advise our unit managers, and how to manage the process to ensure items are delivered on time and look great!
Useful skills for the Design and Purchasing Assistant:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel essential
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word essential
- Basic understanding of Adobe packages including Photoshop & Reader would be a plus!
- Confident communicator over the phone, by email and face to face
