KL Films is a wedding, commercial, lifestyle and documentary video production team based in California.
KL Films is a photojournalist-style wedding videography service based originally in California and Utah, with over 10 years experience. We shoot and operate in areas like San Francisco, LA, Napa, San Diego and Salt Lake City. We video and edit weddings, destination weddings, rehearsal dinners, after parties, and other wedding-related events.
Job Description:
We’re looking for professional videographers, located in or near Santa Cruz, California, with wedding experience to join our team.
Job Requirements:
- Must have your own gear/equipment.
- Must be skilled at shooting professional, stabilized, well-framed video footage (1080p/4K) of the event during its entire duration.
- Being able to shoot in both lower (24/30fps+) and higher frame rates (60fps+)
- Must also be experienced in recording well-balanced clear audio (ex. Ceremony & Toasts/Reception) using external recorders, lav microphones, etc.
- Must speak English
- Excellent communication. (with clients, venue, staff, and coworkers)
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to work weekends.
- Must have high speed internet for uploading video footage and to communicate consistently online.
- Punctuality. Show up on time and plan ahead.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Being warm, inviting and a pleasure to be around during the event.
- Enjoy working with other people, especially the couple and their friends/family.
- Produce high quality content consistently.
- Have enjoyment in your craft.
Bonuses (nice-to-have):
- Having a 4K drone.
- Ability to work as a 2nd shooter or knowing an available one.
- Wedding shoots typically range anywhere from 4-10 hours.
- No video editing required. Shooting only. We handle post-production.
- No videography training or equipment will be provided. You must have your own gear and skills + experience using them.
