Black & White Network is a boutique consultancy office. We are conceptualising a new internal design agency in Glasgow and are looking for an individual to be an integral part of our vision through our Affiliate Partner Programme.
Role Description
Black & White Network is looking for a Graphic Designer to join our Affiliate Partner Programme, with flexibility for some remote work. Although this is a hybrid role, please note you have to be within commuting distance of Glasgow.
The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating communication strategies, visual concepts, using computer software or by hand, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, and captivate consumers. The Graphic Designer will develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports.
The Graphic Designer will be expected to:
- Create communications strategies, designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
- Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, and select style and size of type
- Use computer software to generate new images
- Mark up, paste, and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printing
- Review final layouts and suggest improvements when necessary
- Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients and/or supervisors
- Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites
- Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products
Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), knowledge of HTML/CSS, and familiarity with video editing software
- Design Skills: Layout skills, creativity, and strong attention to detail
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Relevant Skills and Qualifications: Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field; experience in a professional design environment
