The Faculty of Music wishes to appoint an Events and Communications Officer to join its administrative team from November 2023 or as soon as possible thereafter. This position is offered on a fixed-term basis for two years in the first instance, to allow for possible changes to provision in this area when the Faculty moves to the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities in 2025.

Oxford’s Faculty of Music is one of the largest and liveliest music departments in the country, having nearly 300 students, and offering a full annual programme of recitals, performance and composition workshops, and masterclasses, as well as public lectures and research seminars, featuring international musicologists, composers and performers.
Role Overview
This is a key role in the Faculty, with responsibility for overseeing Faculty events and developing and managing alumni relations, as well as being responsible for Faculty communications both internally and externally. The post-holder will work closely with Faculty officers to help develop and implement a strong strategy for events, development and alumni relations, as well as working with the Development teams in the Humanities Division and central University, and collaborating with the team supporting the development of the Humanities Cultural Programme.
