SUMMARY:

The following is a brief description of responsibilities to be performed by the Social Media Coordinator. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Someone who understands and represents the Tilly’s brand will make the best fit. This person will represent Tillys and connect with consumers in relevant ways while supporting the Social Media Manager and Marketing team.
  • Contribute to Tilly’s viral marketing and social media including but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Snapchat, blogs and any other current or upcoming social commerce sites.
  • Responsible for assisting with all aspects of Tillys’ current and future viral marketing initiatives as well as presenting & implementing new strategic social media concepts.
  • Assist Social Media Manager with maintaining schedule of social media plans, and work with Marketing team to build content in time for discussion and approvals.
  • Must have some product photography experience.
  • Needs to know how to operate a DSLR (or equivalent) camera.
  • Ensure that all social media channels are updated regularly with relevant content that makes sense for our company initiatives and to our diverse customer base.
  • Write and gather content for Tillys blogs and source additional avenues & opportunities for providing content. Work with creative team to develop visual content.
  • Brainstorm ideas ranging from stories, events, videos, news, product integration, and determining best practices for execution.
  • Develop and grow social media as a revenue stream. Research and propose new technology, best practices and potential platforms.
  • Responsible for communicating Marketing direction to our website and ecommerce team.
  • Maintenance of Social Networking Marketing Efforts.
  • Execution & Suggestion of Strategic Direction.
  • Customer Acquisition –voice for Tillys.
  • Prepare reports for tracking and analyzing our Social Media activities and effectiveness.
  • Maintain, manage, and grow Tillys’ social influencer program.
  • Research the latest trends in digital marketing, and send articles, studies, etc. to Social Media Manager on a weekly basis.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience in building all social platforms preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of Excel and MS Word.
  • Some working experience with Photoshop.
  • Some product photography experience.
  • Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
  • Must have experience with social media marketing and internet.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Able to effectively use common office equipment.
  • Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.
  • Must have ability to multitask.
  • Independent, self-motivated, team player.
  • Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong understanding of retail culture.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities.
  • Ability to cultivate team environment.
  • Creative mind, with prior success in driving the creative process.
  • Lives and represents the Tilly’s Brand.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2-3 years marketing and social media experience.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Hourly Salary Range:

$21-$25: Offer placement within this range is dependent on a variety of factors, including prior relevant experience, skill set, and qualifications.
