Job Description:

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for a Short Film Producer for our client, an environmental nonprofit organization based in the Bay Area, CA dedicated to the conservation and protection of forests and natural landscapes! This is a contract position offering a part-time, remote opportunity to join an amazing team! (Must reside in the Bay Area, CA)

As a Short Film Producer, you will play a pivotal role in creating informative and visually appealing short films designed for social media platforms. If you are a passionate and experienced Short Film Producer with a talent for storytelling and a knack for creating engaging content, we’d love to hear from you!

What You Will Be Doing:

• Scriptwriting: Develop compelling and concise scripts that effectively convey the intended message of each short film.
• Video Shooting: Capture high-quality footage, interviews, and visuals that align with the script’s narrative and vision.
• Editing and Post-Production: Use your creative flair to edit and assemble video clips, audio, graphics, and animations into polished, cohesive short films.
• Storyboarding: Collaborate with the creative team to create storyboards, shot lists, and visual concepts for each project.
• Sound Design: Enhance the overall impact of the films through effective sound design, including music selection and audio enhancement.
• Graphic Design: Create or incorporate relevant graphics, animations, and text overlays to complement the narrative.
• Project Management: Manage and organize project timelines, ensuring that all tasks are completed within deadlines.

What You Have To Offer:

• Proven experience in producing short films, especially in the explanatory or documentary style (portfolio required).
• Proficiency in scriptwriting, video shooting, and video editing.
• Strong skills in video post-production.
• Proficiency with video editing software.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity in storytelling.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the creative team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Must reside in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position provides an hourly pay rate of $54-62 DOE with a wonderful collaborative team and more!
