We’re in search of Design and Product Development Assistant to create unique in-house collections for our retail gift and apparel stores in the vibrant cities of San Francisco and Hawai’i.

Responsibilities:

• Develop designs for our private label gift and apparel collections.
• Research trends, colors and gift product ideas.
• Create mockups and linesheets for seasonal collections.
• Create art/specs for our in house merch and work with local illustrators.
• Source and contact vendors for samples, pricing and price comparison.
• Track product development from samples to production.
• Approve products or mockups before placing orders.
• Place production orders and follow up with vendors.
• Approx 15-20 hours per week to start.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about design and product development, with an eye for trends and colors.
• Detailed verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong excel skills and understanding of retail math.
• Excellent organizational skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
• 2 years of Product Development experience or familiarity with manufacturing processes, materials, and production techniques.
• Graphic Design experience and proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
