Location: Texas

Contract: Temporary, Contract

No C2C. No 3rd party. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder.

Very short contract, remote in Texas. Start date Oct 5, 2023. Contract through Nov 30, 2023. Applicants outside of Texas are immediately rejected.

Major plus: State/federal IT experience.

Description:

The position will be remote, but it is highly preferred that the contractor be located in the central Texas area. The new website will be hosted in an Acquia environment utilizing Drupal. The project will be working with a project team that is directing the overall project and performing the implementation and configuration of the new website.

Duties:

  • Migrating the old website content into the new website in a Drupal CMS.
  • Adding, creating, and performing client content changes in Drupal, in collaboration with the TDHCA website administrator.
  • Participating in project team meetings to report on the migration process, contribute responsive information during discussions, and assist in decisions depending on the content migration.
  • Reviewing web content, links, and limited design aspects, providing necessary updates for broken links and updated content and enhancements as necessary.
  • Performing all tasks while adhering to mobile and accessibility compliance standards.
  • Liaising between the website developers and project management staff for the required updates.
  • Offering website recommendations or improvements to the internal team.
  • Drafting and documenting migration and administration processes and procedures of content management.

Experience:

  • 5 years required:
  • Experience building responsive websites, developing within common web development frameworks and extensions
  • Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Experience working in several content management systems, such as WordPress, Magnolia, Sitecore, Adobe, Drupal, or internal solutions
  • 4 years required:
  • Experience with website administration and management using Drupal administration tools including core and modules
  • Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrating data from various back-end services and databases
  • Proficient knowledge of JavaScript, XHTML, HTML/CSS
  • Creating website layout/user interfaces by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • 3 years required:
  • Knowledge of system development methodologies, programming concepts, computer equipment and operating systems, and development environment procedures
  • 3 years preferred:
  • Experience in Cloud computing technologies such as Acquia
  • Proficient knowledge of cross-site scripting, SQL injection security issues, and other OWASP top 10 web based vulnerabilities
  • 2 years preferred:
  • Implementing and managing successful information retrieval systems (Drupal Search, Solr, or other open-source tools)
  • 1 year preferred:
  • Proficient knowledge of the Linux operating system and CLI
  • Recent Industry Certifications related to programming or web development
