Position:

Book Designer

Job Description:

• Create book designs
• Build InDesign templates
• Lay out text and images in InDesign
• Mask images
• Conduct photo research
• Handle prepress and premedia
• Possible photo shooting and project creation for how-to and science books

Requirements:

• Experience and knowledge of Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop required, Illustrator and Lightroom preferred)
• Project and time management skills
• Interest in working on creative children’s educational content
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative, remote environment and seek and provide help when needed
• Organizational skills and attention to detail
• Deadline-driven and budget-conscious
• Ability to streamline and improve processes for increased efficiency and quality

• Employment arrangement: Dependent on the candidate (part-time or full-time contract position)
• Position is primarily remote, but local candidates may be considered for some in-office work
