Theatre Centre and Sheffield Theatres are looking for a freelance Production Manager to work on our co-production of Wish You Weren’t Here by Katie Redford.

We will be touring this world premiere in schools and theatres across the UK in Spring 2024. We are looking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to look after the logistics of set build, liaison across the Theatre Centre, Sheffield Theatres and touring venue teams, and production budget to ensure the smooth running of both rehearsals and touring production.

The role is open to anyone, but as the play is centred around two women, one of whom is mixed race, we would particularly like to encourage applications from women and/or womxn of the Global Majority.

DATES AND LOCATIONS

• Pre-production: Autumn 2023
• Rehearsals: 2nd – 25th Jan 2024
• Tour: Jan – March 2024 (final dates TBC)

Rehearsals

• Week commencing Tuesday 2 January 2024 – Rehearsals (London)
• Week commencing Monday 8 January 2024 – Rehearsals (London)
• Week commencing Monday 15 January 2024 – Rehearsals (Sheffield)
• Week commencing Monday 22 January 2024 – Technical rehearsals and previews (Sheffield)
• Opens at Sheffield Theatres on 25 January 2024 touring UK schools and venues from 12 February 2024.

FEE

£1,926 (equivalent to three weeks at £642 to be worked non-consecutively)
