Graphic Designer is needed in Brentwood, United States.

Location: Brentwood, United States

Contract: Temporary

Overview:

  • The Graphic Designer, reporting directly to the Art Director and with the guidance of the Sr.Graphic Designer, is responsible for ensuring consistent, brand-appropriate designs. This role collaborates closely with various teams, including Marketing, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations. Projects range from simple to highly complex visual assets and projects. The ideal candidate is skilled and passionate about design, photography, and type hierarchies and is comfortable working with precise technical specifications regarding image usage, media, file formats, file sizes, and copy styling. Meticulous organization, file management, comfort in a fast-paced environment, and self-motivation are key in being successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the Marketing team to reflect Kirkland’s brand.
  • Ideation, designing, and creating visual assets for emails, digital ads, PR lookbooks, social media, mailers,store collateral and other visual initiatives.
  • Supports direction of Art Director and Sr.Designer to provide creative design needs of the brand.
  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Keen eye for typography, print, digital, branding, detail and conceptualization.
  • Must be able to work in a fast past envirnonment while working on several projects.
  • Time manangement skills are a must.
  • Participate in creative meetings for overall branding strategies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Up to 2 years’ experience in a similar role, within a retail environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat).
  • Portfolio examples of web design work required.
  • Associates, BA, or BS Degree in Fine & Applied Arts; Graphic Design; Communication Arts or equivalent required.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Effective communicator (both verbally and written).
  • Ability to multi-task and move among several projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Understand grid systems and design fundamentals.
  • Proficiencies in After effects and Premiere Pro are a plus.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform work onsite in the Brentwood corporate office at least 4 days a week.
