Owethu Managed Services is looking for a qualified UI/UX designer to help us implement the best possible designs and interfaces for our customers. The qualified candidate will be capable of confidently applying their UI/UX design skills to shape digital environments for the largest possible user base. This individual will also demonstrate a significant degree of drive, creativity, and understanding of our brand with a positive, proactive attitude.

Role Description

• Ideate on new and unique UI/UX concepts
• Identify business and technical requirements
• Perform market research, including user interviews and competitor analysis
• Create design wireframes and prototypes
• Design and present UI/UX demonstrations to stakeholders
• Handoff designs to developers for implementation

Qualifications

• Design Thinking, User Research, and Prototyping skills
• User Experience (UI/UX) and Visual Design skills
• Experience with design software and tools such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively communicate design decisions to stakeholders
• Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field
• Knowledge of web design and development is highly desirable
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in user experience design or related field
• Deep familiarity with agile software development
• Comfortability with at least one programming language such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• Willingness to iterate work output based on feedback
• Significant experience with UI/UX writing or design
• Comprehensive fluency with component libraries
• Keen understanding of design software such as Storybook, Sketch, and InDesign
