Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Product Designer who can help revamp the Editage.cn website with a deep understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. The ideal candidate should be able to seamlessly integrate cultural nuances and contemporary design elements, ensuring our platform remains relevant, user-friendly, and resonates with our core Chinese audience. To excel in this role, we are looking for someone fluent in Mandarin and deeply connected to the local culture.

About Editage.cn: Editage.cn is a leading platform offering Academic Editing, Translation, and Research Publication Services for Chinese researchers.

Responsibilities

• Research & Analysis: Understand the current Editage.cn website, its users, and their preferences and needs.
• Cultural Integration: Integrate elements of Chinese culture, aesthetics, and values into website design to enhance user engagement and cultural resonance.
• UI/UX Design: Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and… site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
• Responsive Design: Ensure that the designs are optimized for various devices, including mobile, tablet, and desktop.
• Feedback & Iteration: Conduct user testing of applications, software, and websites to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to ensure designs are realized as intended.

Qualifications and Prerequisites

• A strong portfolio showcasing web design projects with an emphasis on cultural integration.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Strong understanding of Chinese culture, trends, and design aesthetics.
• Excellent communication skills, both in Mandarin and English.
• Familiarity with web design principles, standards, and best practices.
• Experience in UI/UX design with a focus on user-centered design processes.
