Graphic Designer is needed in Boca Raton, United States.

Client: Second Chance Initiative, Inc.

Location: Boca Raton, United States

Contract: Part Time

Job Description:

We are a young organization experiencing fast growth. Our mission is to create jobs that help women in recovery flourish. Since launching in November 2018, we have created 83 jobs for local women in recovery who are transitioning back into the workforce. The women we work with are survivors looking for a hand-up, not a handout. We offer them an opportunity to earn an income, hone new skills, and plan their next move - in a judgment-free, safe, and nurturing environment. With your help, we can change the trajectory of women’s lives. We create jobs through our social enterprise, a product-based e-commerce shop hosted on Etsy, a global marketplace for handmade goods. This approach enables us to self-fund a portion of our program while giving our program participants relevant and marketable work experience. Visit us at Her2ndChance.org and shop with us at Her2ndChance on etsy.com.

Role:

We seek a highly creative Graphic Designer to generate new designs to be applied to various products in our assortment. This crucial role will help drive our sales on Etsy and our e-commerce shop, resulting in the growth and expansion of the organization and supporting our mission to hire more women in need of a second chance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create original designs based on internal concepts and/or design references weekly.
  • Leverage our competitive analysis and Etsy data to determine the design direction.
  • Execute the design process from beginning to end with minimal supervision.
  • Work with the product team to complete weekly deadlines and design quotas.
  • Ability to respond to design objectives with creative and innovative design solutions.
  • Stay on top of design trends and graphic design styles.
  • Ensure all art content developed is original and does not infringe on existing copyrights.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Three (3)+ years experience in graphic design. This is not an entry-level position. An online or pdf portfolio is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in creating graphics for merchandise.
  • A strong understanding of design, color, typography, current market trends, and the gift product market.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop.
  • Highly organized and driven to meet deadlines.
  • Adaptability to prioritize and juggle a variety of functions and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organization, time management, and communication skills.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and professional judgment with a solution-oriented, resourceful mindset.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Google Suite.
  • Ability to work in-office in Boca Raton, Florida, to fulfill the organization’s needs.
