Location: Manassas, United States
Contract: Intern, Part Time, Contractor
Responsibilities:
- Create low-fidelity, and high-fidelity mockups, style guides, and design systems to maintain a cohesive visual language.
- Establish a robust design system that serves as a comprehensive toolkit for UI elements, ensuring a unified and coherent user experience across various digital platforms.
- Document interaction patterns, animations, and micro interactions to ensure consistency and seamless transitions between different interface states.
- Utilize design principles, such as hierarchy, contrast, and spacing, to guide users’ attention and create a seamless flow through the interface.
- Incorporate imagery, icons, and illustrations that reinforce the brand’s personality and resonate with the target audience.
- Craft intuitive layouts that facilitate easy navigation, showcasing key content and functionalities prominently.
- Pay meticulous attention to details, ensuring that every element, from buttons to animations, enhances the overall aesthetics and usability.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research to understand our target audience, their needs, and pain points.
- Develop user personas, user flows, and customer journey maps to inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to demonstrate intuitive and seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure smooth implementation of UX designs.
- Continuously iterate and refine designs based on user feedback and usability testing.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define design requirements and project goals.
- Present design concepts and rationale to internal teams, gathering feedback and incorporating it into final designs.
- Clearly communicate design decisions, user research findings, and design rationale to cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment, promoting a user-centric design culture.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience (1 years) as a UI/UX Designer with a focus on UI
- Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in designing intuitive user experiences and visually appealing interfaces.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, or similar.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design iterations.
- Familiarity with web development technologies and their impact on design feasibility.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple projects with competing priorities.

Pay:
- $20.00 - $32.00 per hour

- 20 – 28 per week
