Job Description
Modern Innovation Production is looking for a part-time Junior Editor to join our growing team. The Junior Video Editor will be responsible for reviewing, organizing and creatively editing raw video footage into a final product. This junior editor must be able to own a project from start to finish, including, but not limited to: organizing and logging of footage; editing sequences to a final cut; audio editing and balancing levels; color grading; and all other steps necessary to create a video ready to share with the client.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in video editing
- Proficient in Final Cut Pro & Davinci Resolve editing software
- Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and color theory, with the ability to adapt to different shooting conditions
- Excellent video editing skills, with attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of copyright laws and licensing requirements for photography and videography
Other Information
- This role reports to the Creative Director
- This is a remote, part-time role, 24 hours a week; (3) 8-hour days a week

Responsibilities
- Utilize raw footage, static and motion graphics, screen captures, lower thirds, licensed music, voiceover, and sound effects to create unique and engaging videos
- Create compelling visual content that tells engaging stories
- Produce impactful promotional videos, documentaries, and event recaps
- Edit and assemble video footage, incorporating music, sound effects, animations, and graphics
- Manage and organize a digital media library, ensuring all assets are appropriately labeled, categorized, and accessible to internal staff
- Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in video editing, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance our visual presence
- Adhere to copyright laws, obtain necessary permissions, and ensure all media content is appropriately credited when required
- Other duties as assigned

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
