Job Description:

The role involves working as an A1 on live corporate events in the UK, on a per-project basis. Responsibilities include collaborating with the production team to understand sound requirements, mixing audio signals, setting up audio routing, positioning and tracking microphones, conducting rehearsals, executing audio cues, performing sound checks, selecting and deploying sound equipment, and ensuring optimal audio quality.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as an A1, preferably for large or high profile events
• Experience in live event corporate settings, working with high level talent
• Strong knowledge and understanding of broadcast and production technology
• Specific technologies include Yamaha CL Series, SSL Consoles, Midas Consoles, Shure Wireless Workbench, Solid State Logic, and L’Acoustics
• Ability to program and operate mixing consoles, microphones, and other audio equipment effectively
• Good understanding of audio transport standards such as Dante, MADI, and Twinlane
• Ability to multitask and adapt to rapid show-flow changes in a live and fluid environment
• Excellent control room demeanor, proven leadership skills, team-first attitude, and ability to handle pressure
• Ability to interface with technical and creative members of the event production ecosystem
• Excellent communication skills
• Service-oriented approach and desire to help clients achieve their best result
• Responsiveness to queries with updates and follow-through

Compensation & Benefits:

This part-time position offers a range between $55-85/hr, depending on experience.
