Job Description

The Lighting Artist will create lighting and shading techniques and deliver final renders for the Compositing Department, ensuring to meet the high quality standards of Rodeo FX. Main responsibilities include:

• Developing lighting setups in 3D and troubleshooting rendering issues
• Working closely with the CG and Lighting Supervisors to find creative and technical solutions and approaches
• Participating in the development of tools and techniques for the department
• Performing quality control on shots before they are submitted for review/approval
• Keeping Production and the project team informed of work status and issues
• Ensuring deadlines are met and advising the project team of potential delays

Requirements

• Experience in a similar position within the VFX industry
• 8 years of lighting experience
• Strong knowledge of Katana and Arnold
• Excellent sense of prioritization and respect for deadlines
