Job Description
The Photographer/Editor is responsible for the operation of cameras, editing, and microwave equipment used in electronic newsgathering.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in broadcasting or a similar major
- Knowledge of spot news, with an eye for creative storytelling
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (50lbs) and work various shifts
- Ability to maneuver and operate a live truck
- Valid driver’s license
- Good communication skills and sound editorial judgment
- Familiarity with Chicago city streets (a plus)
- Knowledge of Adobe Premiere (a plus)
- Three to five years of television news gathering, editing, and microwave experience
- IBEW membership required
