Contract: Full-time

Job Description

This position is a contract/freelance position- full time and part time available- must be local to the OKC area. Great design doesn’t happen by accident. It takes a dedicated, highly skilled team that is deeply involved from initial concept to production. In collaboration with your PDEV teammates you will be supporting the generation, development and execution of product and packaging designs for world renowned brands. You are a versatile designer, responsible for creating and executing high-quality design concepts and assisting with research, concept exploration, design development and finalization. APMEX is looking for a senior designer who delivers both strong ideas and a high level of craftsmanship across all elements of design in collaboration with team members. You are organized and maintain design files and master assets as needed. You are a design guardian, ensuring color, type and visual equities follow standards. You have a proven track record of executing & developing designs throughout the life cycle of a project. You are a “get-it-done” team player willing to bring high energy and new ideas into a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • BFA Degree in Graphic Design or related field or Master’s degree in related field
  • 4+ years of professional graphic design experience within agency or client-side environment required
  • Mastery of various software design programs including Adobe-based platforms (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) for both Mac and PC.
  • Advanced experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Products (or Certification a Plus)
  • Ability to work and plan in project management software
  • Strong visual design skills with demonstrated experience in both print and packaging.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to interpret and incorporate detailed feedback.
  • Team player who can work independently and contribute to the team by stepping in if needed.
  • Well-organized and willing to keep file structure consistency
  • Knowledge of product development and manufacturing processes
  • Working knowledge of printing processes or experience in a print shop (a plus)
