Job Description: Freelance Designer

Beams is a technology platform and marketplace for homeowners and contractors, aiming to simplify and make home renovation more sustainable. As a Freelance Designer, you will work with homeowners to bring their visions to life, conducting virtual design meetings, creating 3D models and 2D plans, and managing the design process.

Requirements:

• Client facing experience in high quality residential design
• Experience in modular/templative design (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of fixtures and fittings for bathroom and kitchen renovations
• Proficient in 3D rendering software like Sketchup, Autocad, and Revit
• Aesthetic alignment with Beams’ design style
• Proficient with Google’s suite of collaboration tools, especially Google Slides and Google Sheets
• Collaborative, customer-first, and aligned with company culture
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Information:

• Rates: Paid on a per-project basis, agreed upon depending on the scope of the renovation
• Hybrid working: Option for remote or office work, with at least 1 day required in the Old Street, London office for onboarding
