Job Description:

This person will be the primary designer collaborating with our digital/dev teams to enhance, design and move initiatives forward across our internal tool/platform. They will collaborate with team Art Director(s) on standards and quality control, they will intake and manage priority work outlined by the Product Manager and will be responsible for oversight and execution of design deliverables. This role will be required to support elements and feedback through presentations and reviews across the org and leadership. This is a 3 month contract to start with potential for extension.

Role Priorities:

As a Product Designer you will be connected to all work streams, projects and needs across the digital product scope. You will work to understand, enhance and develop design systems and leverage this to drive cohesion of UI/UX across the product. Through collaboration with our team and other partners, you will own the creation of digital deliverables and systems, toolkits/design documentation, and be able to present your ideas/designs and achieve approvals. Supported by developers, product managers, Digital PM and Art Director(s), you will work through short term needs and drive long-term systems thinking for future configuration of the product and its advancements.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience designing, maintaining and implementing design systems from start to finish, including the development process.
  • Highly skilled in Sketch, Photoshop, illustrator, and Keynote
  • Solid understanding of typographic systems and hierarchy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Extremely organized, excellent task-tracking skills, and acute attention to detail
  • Creative and collaborative approach to problem solving and design thinking

Hourly Estimation:

This is a non-exempt role eligible for OT in accordance with local law. The hourly range is $65.00 -$80.00 per hour. NVE intends to provide a competitive total compensation package which includes a variety of incentives, benefits, growth and developmental opportunities. There are many factors to the presented hourly range, including but not limited to - location, departmental budgets, certifications, and overall job-related qualifications.
