Job Description:

We are Seattle Pride Hockey Association, a 501©(7) nonprofit organization that produces a variety of events, programs, and tournaments throughout the year. Our largest tournament is held annually in June at Kraken Community Iceplex. We’re seeking social media experts to help lead and organize our social strategy for this annual event.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement
• Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms
• Monitor social media channels for trends, opportunities, and customer feedback
• Respond to comments and messages in a timely manner
• Analyze social media data to measure the success of campaigns and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in social media management

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
• Familiarity with social media management tools such as Hootsuite
• Proficient in using Canva for creating graphics and visual content
• Strong understanding of web analytics and digital marketing principles
• Excellent research skills to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Video editing skills are a plus

Additional Information:

• This position is temporary contract with limited hours leading up to the tournament weekend and more engaged hours on-site during the tournament weekend (approximately 8 - 10 hours per day).
• The total pay will depend upon the share of workload, with a minimum pay of $2,250 and a maximum pay of $4,500 for the full contract.
