Job Description:

The Center for Development and Disability (CDD) is seeking a part-time Web Designer to join their Database and Web Applications team. The main focus of the role will be posting content to multiple outward facing website applications for various CDD programs. The Web Designer will be responsible for ensuring excellent presentation of CDD content and providing a welcoming user experience. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Posting and organizing WordPress content according to defined requirements
  • Creating and maintaining web content using the Cascade Content Management System
  • Analyzing web content for adherence to accessibility guidelines and modifying as necessary
  • Collaborating with teams to develop desired website content and functionality

Requirements:

Minimum qualifications for this role include a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include proficiency in using the Cascade content management system, HTML and CSS, and working knowledge of WordPress, Learning Stream, Google Analytics, Adobe Acrobat, Office tools, and accessibility standards and assessment tools such as WAV and/or AccessiBe.

Additional Information:

This is a part-time, term position with an end date of 06/30/2024. The hourly pay range is $19.35 to $26.89. The position is benefits eligible with medical, dental, vision, and life insurance offered. The University of New Mexico has a comprehensive package of benefits and educational benefits are also available through the tuition remission and dependent education programs.
