Contract: Part Time, Full Time

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Junior Video Editor who will be responsible for assisting in the creation of high-quality video content that captures our mission to educate and inspire people to take action on environmental issues. You will be involved in all aspects of video production, from pre-production to post-production. You will also assist with filming in Las Vegas, and will work closely with the team to ensure that all videos are of the highest quality and align with the overall vision and brand of Green Our Planet Studios.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and edit raw video footage, ensuring seamless transitions, clean cuts, and a cohesive visual flow.
  • Assist with on-location filming and voice over recording sessions in Las Vegas.
  • Utilize advanced video editing software and tools to enhance video quality, adjust colors, add effects, and optimize audio.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to understand project requirements, objectives, and brand guidelines.
  • Make creative decisions to enhance storytelling and deliver impactful video content.
  • Organize and manage video assets, maintaining a well-structured and accessible library for future use.
  • Incorporate graphics, animations, and visual effects to enhance the overall video production.
  • Ensure videos are optimized for different platforms and formats, including web, social media, and mobile.
  • Meet project deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback and suggestions to improve the overall quality of video projects.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Video Editor or Video Editor with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Solid understanding of video editing techniques, visual storytelling, and industry-standard practices.
  • Strong knowledge of video codecs, file formats, and compression techniques.
  • Familiarity with color correction, audio mixing, and video optimization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and animation is a plus.
  • Experience with sound design and music selection is a plus.

Additional Information:

  • This job opportunity is exclusively open to candidates based in Las Vegas, Nevada.
  • Applicants must be available to work on location during the week.
  • Salary starts at $20/hour (full time or part time).
