Job Description

A new social media company in Leamington Spa is seeking a junior backend web developer to join their team. The company’s mission is to create a networking space that actively combats trolling, racism, and bullying. As a backend web developer, you will be responsible for assisting the main developer with improvements as beta testing begins. You may also have the opportunity to develop blockchain/crypto features on the site, if you have experience in this area. The pay will be negotiated based on your experience and could be £15-£19/hr.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). (Desired)
• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Python or similar (Required)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Permanent position after initial 16 weeks.
