Job Description:

MailOnline is seeking a Freelance Sport Social Video Producer to transform compelling sport stories into engaging video content. Candidates will source, package and publish videos from our fast-paced London newsroom, telling popular stories to millions of people around the world. You will have your finger on the pulse of trending topics that resonate with our target audience across various social platforms - with a particular focus on Facebook. As part of our global Social Video team, your insights, creativity, and understanding of what people are talking about online will shape our approach, growing MailOnline Sport’s brand on Facebook. Specialisms in topics including Football, Boxing, UFC, Formula One, and WWE are welcome but not strictly necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, script, and produce video content for social media platforms.
  • Write engaging copy to maximize user engagement and retention.
  • Analyze performance data to refine content strategies.
  • Collaborate with teams across the company to create popular video content.
  • Keep up-to-date with social media trends and platform updates.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Daily Mail’s content on Facebook and TikTok.
  • Skilled using Adobe Premiere or CapCut with After Effects as an advantage.
  • Experience in content creation for social media accounts.
  • Adept video editor with attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to match the dynamic nature of a busy newsroom environment.
