Job Description
We’re looking for proficient 3D Artists, who can work in a variety of areas such as 3D modeling, texturing, rendering environments, and lighting to create exciting and innovative experiences in 3D. The ability to work within and across large, interdependent teams is a must, so the right person will have an implicit understanding of the balance needed between artistry, communication, and partnership. The ideal candidate will be accomplished in working with a variety of 2D and 3D software packages and demonstrate the ability to raise the quality bar in lighting and rendering 3D scenes and assets. Artist’s portfolios should have environmental or product rendering examples to be considered. Maya with Vray proficiency is required. The candidate will compose, light, and render photo realistic scenes, products, and animations. Has the technical know-how to make 3D PBR assets, as well as making edits to prebuilt assets, such as to the model, textures, and material. Ability to work with an Art Director and iterate on work after receiving feedback. Maintain consistently high standards for accuracy, aesthetics, and productivity. Share best practices, identify process improvements, and operational waste reduction.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience working in a fast-paced 3D production environment
- Must demonstrate an understanding of technical art production and end-to-end modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering workflows
- Have experience in photo real lighting and rendering of scenes and products
- Must be well versed in Maya with Vray
- Blender proficiency is highly favored
- Ability to showcase artistic work in a portfolio
- Excellent communications, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Innovative, self-directed, and good with receiving feedback
Preferred
- Additional experience in Unreal, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, Photoshop, and Perforce is highly favored
- Animation experience is a plus
- Ability to coach/train other artists on the production floor
- Be able to excel in a fast-paced collaborative production environment
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
Other Information
This is a remote position. Open to candidates based in greater Seattle, WA, or Portland, OR only. 4/10s schedule, Monday through Thursday. Fun and supportive work atmosphere.
