Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to work for our Fortune 100 Investment Banking client located in Birmingham, UK. You will be working in a greenfield environment building out features and pages focused only on front-end application. One will be using legacy application as a guide to create new application for over 1000 users globally that will be utilized by internal research analysts. This individual will be responsible for creating React libraries, instilling development best practices, guide frontend architecture, build up a react library of reusable components, and guiding more junior developers. Excellent communication skills are required to gather requirements from business leaders and build out the UI within the application. You will be constructing and managing custom component libraries according to design guidelines, creating and implementing tests, and working with engineering and business stakeholders to drive front end engineering direction.

Requirements

• 3+ years’ experience in front end development, must have proven experience in React (17/18 preferred)
• Experience with React Hooks
• Experience with CSS and SAAS
• Prior experience working in React Testing Libraries; Testing React components (Testing Library, Jest, etc)
• Knowledge of development best practices and ability to guide junior developers
• Excellent communication skills in order to translate technical requirements into React components
• Past professional experience building out UI Architecture
• Experience working with greenfield applications, adding new features, and guiding a team
• Must have experience creating reusable components to build out library
