Job Description

The Web Developer at Hogarth builds/modify responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc. based on visual briefs. They work on localization of the page and update links, images, and text according to the client’s coding standards. The Web Developer also stays updated on the latest technology innovations and works in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of web development experience
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Fluent in written and oral English
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized
• Expertise in web languages and standard technologies
• Proficiency in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/JQuery
• Experience in responsive development
• Exposure to Front-End Frameworks (Foundation)
• Knowledge of image manipulation software like Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience with accessible and SEO-based coding
• Ability to hand-code front-end without WYSIWYG tools
• Clear understanding of Usability
• Experience with developing to W3C Standards
• Experience with optimization for mobile devices and responsive design
• Excellent attention to detail

Additional Information

This is a freelance position for upcoming short-term projects that will happen intermittently throughout the year. Each project is likely to last between 3-5 weeks and would require the team to work full days on-site at the client’s office. Due to the freelance arrangement, full-time positions are not considered unless the candidate plans to freelance full-time themselves. The role offers training and mentoring from the senior development team and a collaborative team atmosphere.
