Job Description:
Our Austin-based production company and creative ad agency is hiring talented video editors who also have graphic design and motion gfx expertise. The duties of this editor/designer position are often turnkey, from working with producers on initial outlines and production plans to media managing and AEing at our shop where necessary, while also handling full edits of various types of content. This includes everything from 6-second digital video or social media ads to 30-second TV spots and branded content to longer broadcast episodics, feature-length narratives, and documentaries. The position also entails coordinating with various broadcast media companies per deliverables, schedules, and client requirements.
Requirements:
- Credible experience editing in Premiere (Avid and FCP also acceptable)
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and other related post and editing programs
- General working knowledge of all current cinema camera formats
- Ability to transcode footage, mix and sweeten audio, and handle color correction for delivery to broadcast networks
- Competence in graphic design with advanced motion graphics skills
- Good time management and communication skills
- Self-motivated and responsible
- Experience working with broadcast media companies and meeting client requirements
- Ability to multitask and handle various aspects of video editing and ad design
- Understanding and appreciation of good three-act story structure and great characters
Other information:
This position is initially offered on an hourly contract basis, with the possibility of joining the team full-time depending on performance and fit with the company culture.
