Job Description:

The Client, State of Ohio, is seeking a UI/UX Designer with expertise in designing and prototyping desktop and mobile applications. The candidate will work with the CIMS 2.0 project team to design and develop user interfaces. They will be responsible for creating a modern and intuitive UI/UX, collaborating with business users, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment. The Consultant will also be responsible for designing and developing the user interface using prototyping designer tools and ensuring compliance with coding standards.

The Consultant’s responsibilities include working on various stages of the product development process, participating in meetings to understand UI requirements, brainstorming ideas and design solutions, creating wireframes and prototypes, testing and iterating product concepts with users, and ensuring UI designs follow best practices and security requirements. They will also participate in backlog grooming sessions and other agile ceremonies to ensure successful implementation of the UI design. Strong communication and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and manage competing priorities.

The Consultant will provide technical guidance and mentoring to technical staff and must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Requirements:

The following are the mandatory requirements for the role:

• 8 years of verifiable experience in designing graphical interfaces based on user interface requirements
• 8 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (JavaScript frameworks also acceptable)
• Advanced understanding of site architecture and designing intuitive user interfaces
• 3 years of experience with designer tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch
• 5 years of experience in designing and delivering products as part of a cross-functional team
• Exposure to ASP.NET C# language
• Demonstrable understanding of implementing secure UI design and coding practices for ASP.NET MVC applications
• 8 years of experience developing projects using the AGILE methodology

The following are the desired skills/requirements:

• UI/UX Certification
• Knowledge and work experience in designing the user interface of native, cross-platform desktop and mobile apps
• Verifiable experience with applications designed and developed in ASP.NET Core MVC
• Expert level experience of building out conversational workflow diagrams
• Expert level experience of working with UI/UX tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch

Additional Information:

• Job Types: Full-time, Contract
• Pay: $55.00 - $77.29 per hour
• Schedule: 8-hour shift
