Job Description
As a video editor for Thanksgiving Point STEM resources videos, your primary role will be to capture high-quality footage that aligns with the content creator’s vision and enhances the overall video production and edit and enhance the visual and audio components of the content.
Responsibilities
- Positively impact and shape the visual and auditory creation of STEM content, contributing to its overall appeal and success on the Thanksgiving Point educational platform.
- Collaborate with content creators and other team members to understand their vision and requirements.
- Maintain, manage and operate necessary equipment to capture high quality video footage.
- Set up shots, troubleshoot and care for equipment, adjust camera settings, frame shots creatively, and ensure technical aspects such as focus, exposure, and white balance are properly managed.
- Capture clear, consistent and high-quality audio using external microphones or other audio recording devices.
- Create unique and engaging shots that are cohesive and engaging.
- Incorporate graphics, animations, transitions and more motion graphics in order to hold the viewer’s attention.
- Use natural light, artificial lighting, or a combination of both to achieve the desired look.
- Ensure final product is both visually and auditorily compelling.
- Exemplify Thanksgiving Point’s Mission, Values and Policies.
Requirements
- Proficient in video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, and comfortable with audio editing software and graphic design tools.
- Solid understanding of composition, lighting, video effects, audio recording and storytelling techniques.
- Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Eye for high quality so that end product is free of errors and meets high standards.
- Strong written, verbal and team collaboration skills.
- Creative mindset and be able to think outside the box.
- At least 18 years old and graduated high school.
- Pass a background check.

Wage: $20-25/hour
