Job Description

Reporting to the Head of eCommerce, this 6-month contract (with the potential to go perm) will support the growth of L’Occitane Australia by owning and producing digital assets to support all online channels for engagement and conversion. As a Digital Designer available for an immediate start, your day-to-day tasks will include designing engaging and visually appealing assets, testing them, and optimizing them based on their performance to ensure the positioning of the brand remains elevated and premium.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design digital content for eCommerce platforms, social media, paid ads, email templates, banners, and landing pages
  • Collaborate with digital and marketing teams to understand campaign requirements and create designs that meet solutions
  • Ensure consistency in branding across all digital assets
  • Participate in design discussions and offer creative solutions to drive engagement and test and learn scenarios
  • Create mock-ups and wireframes for review
  • Create digital assets (static, video, HTML) for various platforms
  • Create website assets, including hero designs and web animations
  • Create email designs for CRM programs and one-off campaigns and coordinate the creation of channel email templates
  • Design and develop homepage banners, landing pages, and email concepts
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation

Requirements

  • Available to start immediately
  • 3+ years of experience as a digital designer (experience in the beauty industry is advantageous)
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Ability to edit, retouch, and resize images with speed and accuracy
  • Excellent understanding of visual design principles
  • Strong working knowledge of web technologies
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design capabilities
