Job Description

The Meadows is seeking a talented and thoughtful designer and layout artist to join our team. This role will be responsible for creating visual work that aligns with our brand direction and enhances our communication materials. Working closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will have the opportunity to make a visual impact on our 20-32 page tabloid newspaper, The Meadoword. This position requires onsite location presence in Sarasota, FL.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in producing newsletters, creative collateral, and multi-page publications.
• Solid background in design and layout for both digital and print media.
• Knowledge of web-based media applications such as WordPress and Facebook.
• Proactive, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine art, or related field preferred.
• Portfolio showcasing previous design and layout work.
• Proficiency in software programs including the Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
• Video editing experience is a plus.
