Job Description

This is a contract position for a Graphic Designer/Illustrator to work with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) on their collaborative working IT system called Rosa. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality graphics, illustrations, videos, and motion graphics that are on-brand and audience-focused. They will also create design templates, collaborate with colleagues, and translate complex data into appealing infographics for digital channels.

Requirements

• A working knowledge of graphics industry-standard software, particularly Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience creating digital assets such as infographics, whitepapers, brochures, and leaflets.
• Experience applying corporate identity guidelines and ensuring consistent application.
• Experience implementing an accessible and inclusive approach to creating digital assets.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• The ability to translate complex information into easy-to-understand creative assets.
• The ability to accept and act on constructive criticism of work and review others’ work.

Additional Information

• This is a 6-month contract position.
• The role requires active SC clearance.
• The position can be based in Glasgow or worked remotely.
• The FCDO merged with the FCO and DfID to form the FCDO in 2020.
